Sarah Hickey is a Brisbane-based visual artist whose practice navigates the threshold between the tangible and symbolic. Working in large-scale figurative painting, constructed through the intimacy of collage, she explores archetypes, dreamscapes and dualities through layered colour, pattern and spiritual iconography. A graduate of the Queensland College of Art, Sarah has presented ten solo exhibitions and participated in more than thirty group exhibitions, with recognition in major national art prizes including the Doug Moran, The Lester and The Percival Portrait Prize.

Washing Instructions: Hand wash silk crêpe de chine in cold water using a soft detergent. Slightly agitate the water and do not soak for more than a few minutes. Never rub, ring or twist the delicate fabric. Gently roll it in a towel to remove excess water, then hang to dry. Fabric is safe to steam if required.
